First and foremost I want to say Happy Veteran's Day!!
I cannot thank our service members enough for all that they do! Past and Present I am proud to honor you today!
(And My Love, I am so thankful for the time you put into the service! You have been such a role model for our children (and me), to show dedication, loyalty, and honor in a way that not many can do! Thank you for showing us that. And even tho you aren't in the military any more you continue to show us how amazing and completely cool and awesome you are! I love you with every piece of my being!!)
Ok, so now we are on to other fun (and not so sappy) and exciting news!!!!
Who doesn't love a giveaway?!?!? I know I do!!! And I am super excited about this particular one because it is FULL of some awesomeness, including: Scor-Tape, Glitter, and Envelope Maker!!!! And a big lovely thank you to
Theresa(The Scrapbooking Queen) for donating all these goodies!!!
(If you came over to visit me today from Sweet Stamp Shop's Blog than you know what's going on, if not go
HERE to see the first part of this post. and how to be entered into to win this lovely giveaway!)
So, like I had said before about Scor-Tape being VERY versatile, did you know that you can use it with embossing powder?? Yes, you can pour embossing powder directly onto the scor tape, heat it up, and emboss it! You cannot only emboss it, but tear it too because it is a paper adhesive. Unlike red-line tapes (i.e. ThermoWeb's Super Tape, which is great as well, but...) which are made of plastic therefore you cannot just tear it or emboss it, It will melt. So, to emboss it is as easy as pie... Simply pour your embossing powder onto the adhesive and heat until set, just like you would normally do with a stamped image you are going to emboss.
Check out the fun I had with the Scor-Tape and embossing powder.
I simply made a border around my card with the 1/4" and applied silver embossing powder and then I made a second border on the inside with the 1/8" and applied a mint colored embossing powder. I just love how simple and easy it was to create a frame on my card. I finished off with a sentiment from the
Chalkboard Sign set from Sweet Stamp Shop. You can find that
HERE.
What do you guys think? Easy??? Leave me a comment below, I would love to hear. Do you have some projects/Cards where you have used Scor-Tape just leave me the link below I would love to see :)
