I liked the sketch but, decided to change the orientation to fit my circles and heart better.
I used scor tape and glitter and then a circle punch and heart punch to get my shapes. I finished off with the brand new Just the Basics set that was just released from Sweet Stamp Shop. This is definitely my go to set...it has everything on it. Check it out below

Is that set not just the best?!?!

XOXO

Hello Everyone!!

Have you guys checked out the NEW SRM Muslin bags and Burlap Bags, yet??  I am totally in love with them. They are so versatile and fun to play with. I got to bring one home to make a sample with to put up at my work. I decided to use the muslin bag and went with a Love theme. Not only is it getting close to Valentine's day but I am simply in LOVE.  :)

This bag was so easy to make and only takes few minutes and a few supplies:
1) Muslin Bag and Love Sticker Sentiment- SRM
2)Ribbons and Jute- I used one from Maya Road and Webster's (just dug thru my stash)
3)Felt
4)Needle and Thread
4)Optional- Cardstock for backing sticker. I used black felt, so I needed something to pop the sentiment.

How To:
I trimmed my ribbons to fit my bag and glued down. ( I added a zigzag stitch to my blue ribbon to give the look of being stitched to the bag.) Looped some jute a few times and used needle and thread to stitch to the bag. Since there was a knot I wanted to make sure it stayed on the bag. Then I hand cut two hearts out of black felt. On the big heart I stitched around the perimeter. Then glued the hearts down to the bag. I finished off with my "xoxo" sentiment and adhered to the big black heart.

Isn't that so sweet? Want to change it up? You could easily add a birthday sentiment or EVEN, a welcome baby  type sentiment... Oh man I could go crazy with these bags :)

I am also adding this to the Runway Inspired Challenge. The colors pair so nicely and the ribbons remind me of the flow-y/ruffle-y-ness of the bottom of her dress.

All You Need Is Love

Hello Everyone! Hope Everyone's morning has been wonderful!

I had some extra time this weekend and decided to play along with a couple challenges. I wanted to go a little out of my comfort zone so I played along with Dynamic Duos. The colors this week are pool party and Pink Pirouette...or more simply put...Pink and Mint. I am not typically a pink girl at all. I hardly ever craft with it, but I was loving the inspiration that the girls had put up. So, I gave it a go. I am also pairing it with Curtain Calls "Love Letter".

Go HERE to play along too

So there it is folks. I LOVED how this card turned out. I used some of my stash that hadn't been touched for awhile including some old October Afternoon rub ons and some of my Favorites. :) I used Sweet Stamp Shops Chalkboard Sign, some Twine from the Twinery, Heidi Swapp Color Shine, and for the Sentiment I used SRM's Love Sticker Sentiment.

Thanks for stopping in. :) Have you played along with any challenges this week? I would love to see what you have been working on. Just leave me a link in your comment for me to check it out :)

Here is my card I made. I really loved the flower bouquet and the color scheme in the photo.

I stamped and inked the flowers from the Elegant Flowers set from Sweet Stamp Shop then used pop dots to glue them down on some cream cardstock. I found some grey and yellow/cream patterned paper in my stash that matched perfectly. I then stamped Happy Anniversary from Easily Distracted set by Sweet Stamp Shop and adhered it over some black twine and finished off with some black rhinestones.

Challenge Time and CHA recap

Hey everyone!! As most of you know the the BIG crafting convention, CHA, was this past weekend (Saturday-Tuesday) in Anaheim...pretty much my backyard lol. I was planning on going up for the weekend but plans changed and my husband coincidentally had his own trade show to go to in Las Vegas :) So I just went up on Saturday. Although a very long day it was a blast none the less. It was a busy day and lots of hopping here and hopping there. Looking at this, saying hi, saying goodbye, etc. you get my point, right?!?! Well here are some highlights of my trip.

Excited about free gelato from Faber Castell

We are so excited to be eating our Double Scoop :) It was pretty tasty might I add!

Well now that CHA is over I decided to play along with a couple challenges.
I really liked the bold colors of the Runway Inspired Challenge and I decided to pair it with Retro Sketches, although I did a very loose interpretation of the sketch I still followed it :)

Here is my card based off both of the challenges.

I paired the bold red and blue together with bits of black accents and notched the one side of the card for rounded corners. I used my scor tape to punch out a butterfly and make glittery and glued it on top of my black twine and pearls. I stamped and embossed the happy birthday from Sweet Stamp Shop and finished off with some red gems.

Elegant Sentiments

Well, off to bed now got lots to do tomorrow, including getting my car serviced :(

Happy crafting

CHA Prep Sample Work

Hi friends,

Just popping it to share some stuff I have been working on. Never a dull moment around this house As most of you know CHA is coming up...yayay...and this year my boss has decided to get a booth for her second company she owns with her fiance, Custom Scrapbook Stuff, (a little background on Custom Scrapbook Stuff: They sell custom designed 12x12 scrapbooking paper. It is very popular for schools, weddings, baby showers, etc. You would pick out your template and then choose your colors and type in what you want it to say, for example Nooksack Valley Pioneers (that is the school and mascot I went to) or I could put Phoenix 06/05/2005 (my oldest sons birth annoucement), etc you get the point...make custom paper specific to what you want.) So just to show you how fun and cute the paper is here are some samples I made...and if you are going to CHA you can get up close and personal too! Check them out in the "New" section :)

(NOTE: So apparently my scrapbook layout pictures are not nearly as good as my card ones, so note to self...PRACTICE those photography skills! If anyone has some good advice to share on getting the best pictures of your layouts and being able to crop them without looking funny or crooked, I really NEED it!!!)
Here are two layouts I made using the custom I {heart} California paper. I embellished with some cardstock, glitter borders, flowers, SRM stickers, Twine, feathers, and more. These pictures were take when my Grandma and little brother(shown in the bottom picture :) ) came for a visit. I have had every intention of "scrapbooking" with them but have done nothing and they came in April!!

My husband used to be in the Coast Guard and of course, once again was supposed to do an album for him, but so far I have been just collecting supplies...one day...BUT right now, sad note we lost most all of his military pictures and need to find a way to recover them! We found these two, but they were small images so look a little fuzzy, oh well they still look good and he is still my superhero :)

For all the next samples I created a wedding themed set and cut the paper apart to do favors (a banner that is not shown cause I am still working on it) I used the SRM pillow boxes and SRM square boxes. They make THE PERFECT favors....

Hera are the square boxes The teal paper came as a 12x12 paper that i cut apart in strips and each strip repeats "Jeff and Shannon August 8, 2012". The gray/silver is the same paper just with the colors changed.

Here are the pillow boxes

Isn't that so much fun?!?!  To see more custom options you can check out their blog HERE.

Happy Crafting,
Danni
